Anthony has been playing the bagpipes since he was 11 and in that time has played at over 600 weddings worldwide, including Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, United States, Italy and Sri Lanka. He has been the resident piper at the Arklow Bay Hotel since 1997. Anthony has played with numerous Pipe Bands including Tralee Pipe Band, Cobh Pipe Band, New Ross and District Pipe Band and has been a lifelong member of the 2007 Grade 3A World Champion Arklow Pipe Band. He has played competitively in Ireland, Scotland and France and has performed on stage at festivals in France, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Cyprus, United States, England and Scotland.

Throughout his playing career, Anthony has performed at a vast variety of functions across the globe. In 2000 he played for Pope John Paul II in The Vatican City and also attended an Audience With The Pope. In 2002, 2007 & 2008 he played solo at the The International Rose of Tralee Festival as well as being The Escort to the London Rose in 2007. In 2003 he performed on stage at the Opening Ceremony of The Special Olympics in Croke Park to a live audience of 90,000 people alongside such performers as U2 and Riverdance. In 2008 Anthony toured United States and Ireland with the Irish Band The High Kings and features on their CD and DVD.

Highlights from 2010 include playing with Horslips on their comeback tour in the O2 in Dublin in December 2010 and featuring in a a live performance with Westlife for an RTE special "Westlife - For One Night Only". In addition, Anthony was featured in the Celtic Woman live show "Songs from the Heart" and will feature in their 2011 Spring tour performing in 81 shows across the US. Anthony is also working on a solo album, which he hopes to have completed before the start of the Celtic Woman tour in February, 2011
